With Made in the Noordoostpolder, we support the promotion of our unique region. The Noordoostpolder has a special story to tell with its history. 80 years ago, land was created from water, and our unique area was born. This is where we live, work, and thrive.

We have a vibrant and high-quality manufacturing industry and an innovative agricultural sector. But our municipality is also increasingly being discovered by tourists and festival visitors. With UNESCO World Heritage Site Schokland, Old Kraggenburg, and the unique Waterloopbos, you will never be bored here.

From afar, you can see the Poldertoren, which stands right in the middle of our polder. The Noordoostpolder, bordered on one side by the IJsselmeer and on the other by the old land of the Wieden and the Weerribben. Surrounded by a large wind farm that generates sustainable energy and a large greenhouse horticulture area that provides many jobs.
